I'm not a baseball player... but I play one on TV.

I had a chance to play a baseball player in a short movie to be played at a concert for Mizuki Nana this Wednesday. I haven’t actually picked up a baseball bat since I was in elementary school and I’d never actually worn a baseball uniform. It was fascinating experience 'suiting up' in a pro baseball player's gear. As I wasn't used to it, it felt kind of strange and alien, and I had to wonder if a baseball player would find it as odd if they had to wear my old taekwondo sparring gear for a day. Most likely so. The shoot was in the Seibu Dome. When I stepped up to the plate, and raised my bat in my pro uniform, I couldn’t imagine how many hundreds of thousands (millions?) of Japanese kids have dreamed of being in my position right then. Well... minus the fact that there were no fans, no actual game, and the person pitching (the person who the concert was for) couldn't actually throw the ball hard enough to reach me at the plate... Looking forward to seeing how they're gonna get past that one in editing ;)
