Meeting Far East Movement

Not too long ago, during a trip to LA, I had the chance to meet the guys from Far East Movement. At the time I was visiting a friend who was one of the producers of Priest, and he said that they were filming their next video and asked if we would like to stop by and check it out. It was pretty late at night, (which meant I was still seriouly jetlagged) but it was very cool nonetheless. They were filming in a small fenced in area along a relatively normal looking street, and although you could tell there was a shoot going on, I`m sure most of the passerbys probably had no idea big of a shoot it was. That`s LA for ya.

Although I didn`t get to meet all of the members (some were actually on camera at the time), the ones I did get to speak to were really nice guys. I really love it when I meet people who are at the top of their game, and are still humble and down-to-earth. It seems as though the pervasive image of successful entertainers is always that of the diva, or people seem to think that they are better than anyone and everyone else, but the longer I work in this industry the more I`ve come to see that those types of people tend to get the media`s attention because they are the exception, not the rule. Most people who work in this industry are successful because they are just very intelligent people who are very good at what they do. This is not to say that I haven`t met some serious a--holes too, but insomuch as life has taught me, you can find those everywhere.
